BPS Overview

Building Performance Solutions, Inc. (BPS) is working with all levels of builders and developers on the implementation of energy efficiency, advanced building science systems, and the integration of high performance green building practices into their construction and development operations.  The BPS team has worked on and is currently working on some of the most innovative green and high performance projects in the country.
 
BPS develops and delivers technical training seminars, provides design/specification reviews at all stages of projects, and offers a wide array of onsite training, inspections and extensive diagnostic field testing services. Our experience with high performance home building is based upon years of  technical and practical experience. BPS has worked with many developers, builders, programs  and municipalities in Colorado and throughout the United States and we have extensive experience with many green and high-performance building programs such as Built Green®Colorado, Energy Star,  LEED for Homes, Environments for Living®, and Enterprise Green Communities. We are committed to helping you strategically set attainable, manageable, profitable, and measurable goals and surpassing them in the construction and completion of every project.

Customized services involving presentations, consultations and/or site visits are always an options with BPS.   Allow us to tailor a package to suit your company's individual needs.  Below are some options that BPS can include:

• Participation in goal setting meetings of conceptual plan design development for energy efficiency and green building practices.
  
  • Program participation levels in Energy Star®, Built Green Colorado®, LEED-H, and Environments for Living®, Building America and additional requested certifications.
• Plan reviews, code analysis, and building science based technical plan analysis, product evaluations and related technical information and documentation regarding the following:
  • Water/moisture management and building durability systems analysis and integration.
  • Hands on field training
  • Thermal envelope design
  • Indoor air quality systems
  • Efficient mechanical systems integration
• Process integration and economic tradeoffs of high performance building systems into the design, engineering and building processes.

• REM-design, Energy-10, EnergyGauge or DOE 2 detailed computer energy modeling on whole building energy efficiency and detailed cost improvement analysis for entire buildings, systems or individual systems or component.
• High Performance HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and mechanical systems design and integration, including:
• Equipment selection
• Duct distribution sizing and layout
• Whole house ventilation systems strategies and layouts
• Solar systems and photovoltaic system optimization
• Solar thermal systems
• Combination or alternative systems heating and cooling systems designs
• Hot Water delivery systems
• Lighting and appliance selections
• Water/moisture management and durability systems integration and analysis with hands on field or applicable training
• Complete Energy Rating (HERS ratings), building diagnostic inspection and 3rd party performance verification services for ENERGY STAR, Built Green Colorado, Environments for Living, LEED-H, and Federal Energy Tax Credit (services are also available as an independent energy rating service through BPS, inquire for package pricing)

Compensation

The pricing on our presentation packages will vary according to your organization's individual needs.  You may choose from the above mentioned topics or we would be happy to prepare a proposal for any high performance initiative your organization may have.

In addition BPS performs hourly consultation services and independent 3rd party energy performance verification for all types of programs, developers and builders.  Please inquire as to our hourly and package pricing options.

Additional travel expenses and applicable hotel lodging may apply for all consultations and training sessions.
